Hi! I’m from ProjectComment, and I’d love to critique your piece!

I haven’t seen Attack innTitan yet, but, I’d like to watch it one day. I’ve heard many great things about it.

First off, I love the grayscale palette you used. It makes Levi and Petra look and feel closer and more intimate. Both of their anatomy is awesome, especially Levi’s, and the way you did his face is just perfect. His jawbone is awesome, and I love the way you defined his cheekbone. His eyes are also awesome. Just a few comments on their anatomy, though. Although his jawbone is near flawless, it seems just a bit too shadowed on the part where his ear and jawbone connect. It makes it look sharp compared to his soft anatomy. Petra’s chin seems a bit too close to her neck, and her neck seems a bit too big. If you took some of the neck (nearest to her chin) off, it would look much better. Also, I noticed her jaw is almost a straight line, which, in anatomy, you almost never want straight lines anywhere, especially on the face.

As for their bodies, I love the perspective you have in Levi. One problem though... it’s only on Levi. If you added more perspective innOetra, it would look amazing. Perspective is always hard to do, especially with people, and I wouldn’t even be able to to do this perspective half as good as you do. Lol. Levi looks to be more in the foreground, however, Petra, seems to be a little further into midground. Maybe next time show the impact his nose does on her hair, and have their shoulders line up. I love the idea, though, of his nose touching her forehead, and again, I love how it brings them closer, to a more personal and intimate feel. You did a great job with the wrinkles in clothing, way better than I could do, however, I think you added too many wrinkles on Levi’s arm, and it makes his arm look stiff compared to his rather relaxed shoulders and back. Also, as said in another comment, the line work on the logo on Levi’s arm is a bit shaky, and is very sharp compared to the softness of everything else.

And finally, the background. I love the soft blended backgraround, and the light that brings up the compassion between the two characters. (Your highlights and shadowing are also awesome, by the way) I also love the hidden heart right above their faces. I also tend to add hidden hearts to my pieces a lot, so it’s kinda cool to see someone else doing that.

Anyway, overall, I think this is a beautiful piece, and I can tell you it a lot of effort and feeling into this. I hope I’m able to help you improve!
